“You are a strong soldier.” These are the magical words that I heard today from my Endocrinologist. I went to see him to try to get my thyroid and adrenals back in order. They took a major hit after having Sepsis and have been out of whack ever since. They effect my energy levels and cognitive function daily, and not in a good way. He recapped the whole Sepsis thing and how having respiratory failure, organ failure, being on a respirator and in a coma/heavy sedation for 7 days really took a toll on my body and mind.
I proceeded to tell him everything that I was doing with the FASTer Way, like Intermittent Fasting, Carb Cycling, eating Whole Foods and exercising. I shared my "Operation Wellness" plan, as I like to call it. I wanted the green light to be able to continue the progress that I am making. He is a sweet, older man with a very thick foreign accent. He got this smile on his face and warm look in his eyes and that is when he said “You are a strong soldier. Keep doing what you are doing. You have come such a long way! And it is working.” I literally had to refrain from jumping up and hugging him. It has been a very long road. And I so desperately needed to hear that.
I will continue with "Operation Wellness" to get myself out of survival mode and into thriving each day, by living the FASTer Way. I have a long way to go but I am definitely on the right path. This is just another reason why I love this program. Not only does it help with fat loss, but it helps with my energy, sleep, cognitive function, memory, mood, preventing disease and most importantly…it gives me hope. Those are all the things I have been trying to fix! And I am doing it all by following simple strategies.
So, if you are looking to make a change, to simply feel better overall, I would love for you to join me on April 1 for my 7 week bootcamp. I will show you how to incorporate these strategies in your own life. At Ground Zero? Has it been awhile since you exercised? Are you exhausted? No problem. I can totally relate! I have been there myself so I can help get you going in the right direction too. I will have a separate men’s and women’s group so all are welcome to join.
Let’s build our own little army of “strong soldiers.” We can rally around each other and lift each other up as we all strive to feel our best.
Carry on soldiers, carry on.
